In fact 25th December was Newton’s birthday according to the old Julian Calendar which was the one used in England at the time of Newton’s birth.

According to the Gregorian Calendar which we use today Newton was born on 4th January 1643. However, he was born on Christmas day, so we may celebrate his birth on that day.
